Hermione Granger - Chapter One

Hermione presses her copy of Hogwarts: A History against her chest. Her luggage, triple-checked and tightly packed, has already been loaded onto the train. Hermione, however, stays on the train platform, watching the rushing children and harried parents flit from the barrier to the luggage drop-off, then pausing at the train doors for a kiss goodbye. Hermione’s parents are standing a few meters behind her. She suspects they recognized that she needed this moment to stand and stare at this magical future, to watch the passing people, to study the details in the paint on the side of the train.

It seems most everyone has been having issues, myself included, with writing. Life gets stressful and these things happen, but hopefully we will get back in business soon! I know that I have a break from school coming up and I hope to have less stress and be able to write.

They didn’t really have anything in common and it was a stretch to call them friends, but Luna thought that maybe they felt sorry for the two of them, and also they were pretty much the only other Wizarding family for miles, so it was polite.
